Alliance of Baptists Annual Gathering 2023

Event includes the "Realizing the Civil Rights Dream" workshop
Alliance of Baptists Annual Gathering

The Alliance for Baptists is an organization that has seriously addressed the issue of racism long before Ending Racism USA was founded. We are excited to participate in their Gathering this year.

The Alliance of Baptists began in 1987 as a prophetic voice in Baptist life. Today, they are a justice movement and community of faith. The organization is committed to “act to dismantle systems of white supremacy, patriarchy, and abusive power."

The theme of their 2023 annual gathering in Atlanta is “…To Set The Captives Free…”

Ending Racism USA is partnering with Grace and Race Ministries, LLC, and Polarity Partnerships in offering a workshop titled "Realizing the Civil Rights Dream: Diagnosing, Treating, and Ending Racism" during the Alliance gathering. Rev. Brenda Girton-Mitchell, Ken Bedell and Barry Johnson will present.

The Alliance says they are "committed to creating an equitable space for all, and we acknowledge that there is a continued need to offer hybrid events. Our partners at Oakhurst Baptist Church are opening a Zoom option for those who are unable to travel to Atlanta.

All worship services, lectures, and panel conversations will be available on Zoom. Use the link: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/84368039136#success; no registration required.
