About
Our Mission
Our mission is to work as advocates and agents for ending racism.
Our Vision
We envision a multicultural America where all identity groups empower each other, and this shared power is used to benefit all Americans. In this multicultural nation no individual experiences greater barriers to achieving personal aspirations and dreams than any other person.
Our Analysis
In the 21st century, political and economic power is in the hands of wealthy white men and their allies.
The often unspoken justification for this system is established in the Constitution and supported by the claim of white superiority with the related expectation of privileges.
Racism, claims of white superiority and white expectations of privileges, is also embedded in institutions where Americans associate with each other.
Finally, racism is present in the conscious and unconscious bias of individuals' understandings of the world around them.
Therefore, ending racism requires addressing systemic, institutional, and personal racism. Read a more detailed analysis of racism.
Our Strategies
- Build an organization that models the values of multicultural values and governance in advancing the movement.
- Raise awareness of the role of the Constitution in protecting and preserving racism by publishing articles, blogs, Op-Eds, and books.
- Convene communities of shared learning using social media and the internet to identify organizations and individuals who share our vision for a multicultural nation without racism.
- Support local anti-racism activists and activism by telling their stories, helping them connect with other local organizations, developing resources, and promoting technologies and other strategies to support the movement toward becoming a nation without racism.
